The name Espírito Santo (Holy Spirit) comes from the way without prejudice that the band sees the world and rules it life. It’s a name to cause impact just like the music amongst it.

The kind of songs that we play is a mixture of three decades of the best music (70, 80, and 90). They are combined in the preferences of the six elements.Mané (vocals, lead guitar), Galiere (guitar), JC (keyboards), Fozzy (bass), Raposo (percussions) and Zé Luís (drums), create a kind of music that they enjoy to play and made several songs that are well accepted by the audience

Created by Mané, Raposo and JC, it took some time until they get the best formation, which happened after they met Galiere, Zé Luís and Fozzy. The band first name was Terramar. After their entrance in studio in November 1998, the band went through a musical evolution and a growing personal maturity, creating stronger relations between the members.

Later on, with the album recording stopped, because of outside problems (labels), and trying to find the best timing to its conclusion, came the will to change the band’s name, to create a name that identified the 6 members and that passed on the band philosophy. Result: 'Espírito Santo' (Holy Spirit).

With a new name, and a reborn inspiration, we could finally finish the recording. It came the time to show to the audience what had been the result of one and a half year of union. We thought in releasing the album, which was called 'Noite'- at that time- by ourselves.

But then we met the label 'Cormusical' which agreed to sign up with us. So the album 'Em que lugar' (in a somewhere)- the final album name - came to the music market in March 2000.

What happened then?...Will tell you as soon as we know...
